At Schiphol Airport, our operation depends on reliable facilities, operational equipment, vehicles and supplier partnerships. Every day, these services support thousands of activities across our business. To lead this function, we are looking for a Manager Facilities & Procurement.

The Opportunity

As Manager Facilities & Procurement, you are responsible for the facilities, fleet and procurement activities that support dnata's operation at Schiphol Airport.

You oversee supplier contracts, maintenance programmes, procurement processes and operational assets, ensuring the business has the resources and support required to operate safely and efficiently.

This is a broad management role with responsibility across multiple disciplines and stakeholders. You will work closely with operational leaders, Finance, suppliers and external contractors, balancing service quality, compliance, cost control and operational requirements.

The role offers a combination of strategic and operational responsibility. You will contribute to investment decisions, manage key supplier relationships and identify opportunities to improve performance across your area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Management

  • Lead all facilities-related activities across the Schiphol operation.

  • Ensure buildings, infrastructure and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.

  • Manage maintenance schedules, repairs and facility improvement projects.

  • Manage external contractors and service providers.

Procurement & Contract Management

  • Lead procurement activities in line with business needs and company policies.

  • Manage tender processes, supplier selection and contract negotiations.

  • Monitor contract performance and ensure commercial value is delivered.

  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and cost control.

Fleet Management

  • Oversee the availability, maintenance and replacement of operational vehicles and equipment.

  • Monitor fleet performance, reliability and related costs.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and operational requirements.

  • Support long-term asset planning and investment decisions.

Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and service providers.

  • Monitor supplier performance against contractual agreements and service levels.

  • Address performance issues and drive improvement where required.

  • Support the development of sustainable and commercially effective supplier partnerships.

Financial & Operational Control

  • Manage departmental budgets and expenditure.

  • Monitor costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.

  • Support business cases and investment proposals.

  • Manage operational, contractual and supplier-related risks.

Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop the Facilities & Procurement team.

  • Set objectives and monitor individual and team performance.

  • Support talent development and succession planning.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and ownership.

Job requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Facilities Management, Procurement or a related discipline.

  • Experience managing suppliers, contracts and service agreements.

  • Experience managing budgets and operational expenditure.

  • Experience leading teams and driving performance.

  • Experience within aviation, logistics, transportation or another operational environment is preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.

  • NEVI certification or equivalent procurement qualification is an advantage.
