Since 2015, we have been active at Schiphol, where nearly 1,300 colleagues contribute every day to an operation that is constantly evolving. Due to the further growth of our Passenger Services organization, we are looking for a Loading Supervisor Passenger Services.

What will you be doing?

As a Loading Supervisor, you will be responsible for the daily supervision of the Ramp Agents during aircraft handling. You monitor the turnaround process of arriving and departing aircraft and ensure that tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to plan.

You will work closely with Coordinators, airlines, and other operational departments on the platform. During your shift, you oversee the operation, allocate tasks, and make adjustments when necessary. You are the primary point of contact for the Ramp Agents and ensure that each flight is handled according to the applicable procedures.

Your responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and monitoring the turnaround process of arriving and departing aircraft.

• Managing the progress of aircraft handling and making timely adjustments in case of operational deviations.

• Monitoring agreed turnaround times and escalating promptly in case of disruptions or delays.

• Supervising, guiding, and motivating Ramp Agents during the shift.

• Aligning operational priorities with Coordinators and other involved departments.

• Ensuring compliance with airport, airline, company, and safety regulations.

• Ensuring correct and timely handling of baggage, cargo, and mail.

• Overseeing the safe use of Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

• Communicating with airlines and other operational stakeholders on the progress of aircraft handling.

• Serving as the primary point of contact for employees and resolving operational issues during the shift.

• Identifying operational bottlenecks and making improvement suggestions.

• Recording and reporting operational specifics.

• Supporting operations during disruptions and peak periods.

You have:

• MBO 3 level of education.

• At least three years of experience in a similar operational role within aviation.

• Good command of Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.

• Knowledge of airport, airline, and company regulations.

• Knowledge of national and international safety regulations related to platform and baggage handling.

• Experience with operational processes on the platform.

• Experience with Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

• Leadership experience or experience in a coordinating role is a plus.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• A positive and proactive work attitude.

Important: VGB screening

For this position, a Certificate of No Objection (VGB) is mandatory.

Therefore, it is important that you:

• have lived continuously in the European Union for the past 8 years;

• can demonstrate your residential and work history;

• can pass a positive security screening.

Without a valid VGB, you cannot start at Schiphol.
