Lead one of the largest air cargo operations at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
As a Duty Manager at the dnata Control Center (dCC), you play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of one of the largest air cargo facilities in the Netherlands.
You are responsible for maintaining operational oversight, making critical decisions and ensuring that people, processes and resources are aligned at all times.
Based at the dnata Control Center, the central coordination hub of our cargo operation at Schiphol, you oversee import, export and transfer cargo flows. You work closely with Operations, Warehouse teams, Planning departments and airline partners to ensure cargo is processed safely, efficiently and on time.

Your role
As Duty Manager dnata Control Center, you are responsible for leading and coordinating all control center activities during your shift.
You monitor operational performance, manage teams and make critical decisions when disruptions occur. You continuously align priorities and ensure the operation runs safely, efficiently and predictably.
Your responsibilities include:
Leading, coaching and developing Production Control Coordinators and Production Control team members.
Coordinating daily control center activities within a 24/7 cargo operation.
Monitoring KPIs, operational performance and agreed service levels.
Identifying risks, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
Making operational decisions and escalating issues when necessary.
Ensuring accurate administration and high-quality operational data.
Acting as the primary point of contact for internal departments, customers and airline partners.
Providing input for workforce planning, capacity management and resource allocation.
Preparing and analysing reports and management information.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company procedures and industry standards.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
Job requirements
What you bring
Higher vocational education level (MBO+/HBO) or equivalent working and thinking level.
At least 5 years of experience in air cargo, logistics or supply chain operations.
Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
Strong understanding of cargo processes, capacity planning and operational control.
Experience analysing KPIs and performance metrics.
Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
Experience with cargo management systems such as Hermes is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain oversight under pressure.
A decisive leadership style with a hands-on mindset.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation.
