The position of Duty Manager Production Control is based within the dnata Control Center (dCC), the central hub for coordination, planning and operational control of the cargo operation.
Purpose of the role
As Duty Manager Production Control, you are end-to-end responsible for managing and safeguarding Production Control activities during your shift. You combine operational leadership with tactical decision-making to ensure stable, efficient and predictable logistics processes.
This role is critical to the daily performance of the cargo operation. You lead teams, monitor performance, make decisions when deviations occur and ensure timely escalation when required. You work closely with the Operations Control Manager and collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Lead and coordinate Production Control activities during assigned shifts within a 24/7 cargo operation.
Manage, coach and develop Coordinators Production Control and (Allround) Production Control Employees.
Monitor operational performance and proactively identify deviations, risks and improvement opportunities.
Take operational decisions to safeguard continuity, quality and SLA performance; escalate when required.
Ensure accurate administrative processing and data quality within operational systems.
Act as primary point of contact for internal departments, customers and airlines on Production Control matters.
Provide input for workforce planning, capacity management and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with safety, audit, legal and company requirements.
Prepare, analyse and interpret management information, including KPIs and performance reports.
Contribute to annual planning, continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
Required experience and profile
MBO+/Bachelor level of working and thinking.
At least 5 years of experience in air cargo processes, preferably in a leadership role.
Proven experience in an operational, logistics or cargo environment.
Strong command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
Excellent communication skills and a clear, decisive leadership style.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain oversight in a complex 24/7 operation.
Experience with Microsoft 365.
Experience with Cargo Management Systems, such as Hermes, is an advantage.
Flexible and willing to work in rotating shifts (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

An employment contract of 38 hours per week in rotating shifts.
